Active until spring 2010, Dairy Farmers of Britain was the UK’s leading dairy farmers’ co-operative, marketing almost 1.4 billion litres of milk per year produced by more than 2,000 member farms.
GSD® won a pitch to create all of their packaging, direct mail, advertising and brochure literature for Dairy Farmers of Britain partner companies including Tesco, The co-operative and Cadog.
Developing innovative themes, GSD® devised a suite of powerful graphic images using contemporary photographic techniques. The approach took a fresh look at the Dairy market to create brand differentiation in what is a tough and competitive marketplace for this everyday essential. This branding was applied to the full range of products, made consistent, clean and fresh.
GSD’s approach differentiated the product on the shelf whilst remaining consistent with the co-operative brand. Cheese sales through The co-operative improved noticeably. DFB had to increase production to meet the market demand.
