Finalist at The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards
The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards are Britain’s largest celebration of entrepreneurship — often referred to as the Grammys of Entrepreneurship. Thousands of businesses enter each year, with past finalists and winners including David Buttress (Just Eat), James Watt (BrewDog) and Julie Deane (The Cambridge Satchel Company) before they became household names.
Professor Graham Shapiro has been recognised as a finalist on five occasions: 2017, 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
The recognition has spanned multiple categories, including Innovation Entrepreneur of the Year, Service Industries Entrepreneur of the Year, Creative Entrepreneur of the Year and Entrepreneur of the Year — reflecting sustained achievement across changing markets, industries and business landscapes.
Over more than three decades, Graham Shapiro has grown a design studio into a multidisciplinary business, developed world-first innovations, built and led high-performing teams, founded a charity, and held professorships at universities across the UK. His wider contributions include serving as Ambassador of Innovation for the University of Cambridge, Visiting Professor at the University of Westminster, and Freeman of the City of London, while continuing to remain actively involved in the design, innovation and product development that have defined his career.
